Sanan Hasanov, the Chairman of the AMEA Free Trade Union, PhD in Social Sciences, Associate Professor, was a guest on the "Gündəm" program on ARB24 channel.

Commenting on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the Middle East, Sanan Gasanov said that there have been many discussions about the events taking place in this region. These discussions took place at a time when the Middle East was aflame, blood was being shed, and the world seemed to be in confusion about what steps could be taken to end the conflict or change its direction.

Today, we are witnessing how the newly elected President of the United States, his team, and administration have presented a new perspective on global hotspots of tension. During his election campaign, Donald Trump raised issues about unresolved global problems, emphasizing the need to discuss them, ensure security in these regions, and immediately halt the conflicts.

Time shows that serious efforts are being made in this direction, possibly due to the current geopolitical situation. In regions where wars are happening, people have developed a tendency towards revolutionary sentiments—they do not want to accept chaos. In some countries, this could lead to coups, in others—to human casualties and protracted wars in which certain forces are interested in exploiting the situation for their gain.

This issue makes one think. In particular, on January 15, a ceasefire was announced in the Middle East. Following this, there were high hopes that the United States would be able to change the direction of the conflict in this region.
