EMPLOYEES OF THE INSTITUTE OF PHILOSOPHY AND SOCIOLOGY PARTICIPATED IN A CONFERENCE HELD IN NAKHCHIVAN

On February 3, 2025, a conference titled "Sustainable Development of Girls and Climate Literacy in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic: The Role of Teachers in Developing Skills for Future Generations" was held in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The event was organized by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and the Public Association for Social Initiatives with Hope for the Future.

At the conference, Radif Mustafayev, PhD in Philosophy, Associate Professor, and Senior Researcher in Islamic Philosophy at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of NASA, delivered a speech on "The Importance of Developing Environmental Thinking in Azerbaijan: Alignment with National Policy and Prospects." Additionally, Hafiza Imanova, Researcher at the Department of Philosophy and Sociology of Sustainable Development, participated as an expert, presenting on "The Role and Importance of Environmental Education in Azerbaijan: New Approaches for Sustainable Development."

The conference focused on the role and significance of teachers in fostering environmental awareness and thinking among younger generations, emphasizing the necessity of promoting climate literacy and ecological awareness to young people through educators.

This conference, held within the framework of the 13th Sustainable Development Goal of the country—Combating Climate Change, contributed to the education and awareness of future generations.
