A round table dedicated to the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (February 11), titled "The Activities of Women Scientists in Azerbaijani Philosophy," was held under the auspices of the Women's Council of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of ANAS and the Free Trade Union of ANAS. The event was opened by the Director of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, PhD, Professor Ilham Mammadzade, who delivered a welcoming speech and congratulated the female employees of the institute on this occasion. He highlighted their contributions to science, emphasized the role of women in society, and recognized their esteemed position. He also stressed the importance of unity among women in science and proposed compiling a collection of scientific articles by female scholars. In closing, I. Mammadzade honored the memory of female scientists who had worked at the institute and spoke about their scientific achievements and contributions to philosophical research. The following speakers then delivered presentations: The Chairman of the Free Trade Union of ANAS, PhD in Political Science, Associate Professor Sanan Hasanov, also addressed the gathering, analyzing the role of women across various spheres of society, with a particular focus on the contributions of female scientists to the country's socio-political life. He also underscored the significant role of women in shaping the future development of society. The event concluded with remarks from the Chairperson of the Women's Council of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, PhD Lala Movsumova, PhD Arzu Gadzhieva, and other participants, who shared their thoughts on the discussion topic.
